I Heart Vintage Fans

So lately ive been going to estate/yard sales and getting some RAD stuff or as my husband would call it...JUNK ;0) Yesterday at a yard sale i scored some awesome junk! I got this super old fan that was really rusty and dirty for $3 and i also got this rad vintage lamp for..get this...FREE!!
It was really dirty/nasty but has lots of potential :0) Ive already re-finished the cool vintage fan..check out the befores and afters on this baby ;0)
BEFORE:
AFTER:
..not bad for $3.. I already had the spray paint on hand so this project was super cheap! Surprisingly, the fan still works great too which will come in handy pretty soon...its starting to warm up quite a bit here in Paradise!

Im linking this project here:

  4. I would have seen that fan and thought, "Too bad that's not in better condition or I would buy it." I wouldn't have thought to spray paint it. It looks awesome. I love the color your chose.

  10. We owned three of those EXACT same fans when I was a kid!! (I know - I'm pre-historic!) Those fans are DANGEROUS!! Keep high up, away from little fingers! But, now they're cool looking - but we couldn't wait to get NEW ones!!! Funny stuff! Good job on the re-do! Love all the things you've been doing! Love, Mom G.

  11. Love what you did with the fan! I have one sitting on my front porch on a old milk stool. What kind/color paint did you use? I love that color and it was just perfect for your fan.
